Surveys
Surveys are useful tools for analyzing attitudes and opinions of a given population. Kerr & Downs Research will administer a custom-designed survey to a cross-section (sample) of individuals. The survey can be administered by phone, mail, fax or via the Internet. These results will be analyzed by our team and can be generalized to your target population. We will then provide strategic recommendations based on your research results to maximize the value of your research investment.
Focus Groups
Focus groups are synergistic, in-depth discussions where a trained moderator explores peoples feelings, attitudes and perceptions with regard to a particular issue. Focus groups are often used to identify and develop key areas that can be explored in a survey.
The focus group moderator is the most critical aspect of conducting a focus group. The moderator should have a sound background in behavioral science, possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to interpret verbal and nonverbal communication, know when to be assertive and not be afraid to exhibit naivete. Most of our focus groups are moderated by Phillip Downs, Ph.D. He has moderated focus groups for a range of clients, including tourism, healthcare, finance, insurance, banking, government, utilities, real estate and consumer goods. Phillips moderating expertise has taken him all over the
world, not only moderating focus groups, but also teaching focus group techniques and writing numerous articles on the subject.
Kerr & Downs Research has conducted more than
