Dr. Downs is a nationally recognized expert in marketing academic and business circles. He received his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a specialization in market research. Dr. Downs has taught marketing at The College of William and Mary and at The Florida State University for 30 years (currently Professor of Marketing - FSU). He has been the Project Director for more than 1,000 research projects for national firms (e.g., Boeing, Texaco, BellSouth, Prudential, United Airlines) and national associations (e.g., American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Academy of General Dentistry, American Bar Association, American Optometric Association). Dr. Downs has taught marketing to over 1,000 executives as a faculty member in the American Society of Association Executives Management Certificate Program. He won the Steven J. Shaw Award (Southern Marketing Association) for the single best market research article of the year and won an award for the best research methodology article from the Southern Marketing Association. Dr. Downs was selected as a Doctoral Consortium Fellow by the American Marketing Association, and is an award winning academician - won teaching and research awards in market research from the American Marketing Association, Southern Marketing Association, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, The Florida State University, and The College of William and Mary. He has made presentations to, and conducted research for, ASAE, Florida SAE, Georgia SAE and Texas SAE, New Jersey SAE, and Tennessee SAE, and has served on ASAE’s Marketing Section Council. JOHN R.

Dr. Cradit holds a Ph.D. in Marketing and Statistical Research specializing in Consumer-Industrial Research with a B.A. in Marketing. Dr. Cradit’s 20+ years of research experience, coupled with Kerr & Downs sensitivity to the nuances of association research, is the perfect synergy to continue providing our clients with strategic recommendations. Dr. Cradit is the Charles A. Bruning Professor of Business Administration at Florida State University, and serves as the chairman of the Marketing Department in the College of Business. JOEY ST. Joey came to Florida from Minnesota in 2002 with a fellowship to continue his education at Florida State University. He then worked for three years as an academic advisor at Florida State University before being recruited to Kerr & Downs Research.

Ruben graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics. Upon completing his degree, he worked for a government consulting firm in Washington, DC. Afterwards, he ventured to Miami for a brief stint in the cigar industry as Marketing and Sales Coordinator for Padilla Cigars, before coming to Kerr & Downs Research.
